Inspired by a love for entertaining, hand written letters, and knowing that you only get one chance to make a first impression, Lady Pym was born. Lady Pym believes that details, manners and style should never be compromised, and that home is the most important place in the world.
Designer, Kari Pederson Miketo, began making stationery under the alter ego “Lady Pym” in 2007. After selling exclusively through Neiman Marcus, she opened her own online stationery store in 2009. Lady Pym specializes in handmade stationery, custom invitations and holiday cards. Lady Pym correspondence is designed and hand-made by Kari using environmentally friendly methods and materials.
In August 2012, Kari married Jim Miketo. A lover of home decor, cooking and entertaining, Kari began to feature her menus, decor ideas and party details on this blog. In the fall of 2013, after working for six years at an architecture and interior design firm in NYC, Kari opened her own interior design studio under the name, “The House of Pym.” Her interior design work can be found on this blog.
In November 2014, after eight years in New York City, Kari and Jim decided to leave Manhattan’s “West Village” and moved to Cleveland, Ohio. They live in a one hundred year old home in the historic Clifton Park neighborhood. This home has become an enormous source of inspiration for Kari. It is a hobby and a love. You can follow Kari’s “Homemaker Hints” and join her on the journey of being a first time homeowner.
